Unoriented Drawings

It’s weird… what’s best way that people can draw? Maybe use that creative side of the brain that people rave about? The way I draw hentai may be a little different to most people…

Anime
It seems the best drawings I draw is when I draw with no idea what’s going to appear in front of me.

But I hear pros saying something different everytime.

That you should “Plan your pictures”, and have a clear picture in mind before you even start.

Sounds all fine and dandy, but it sounds too logical and analytical to me, especially with all the fuss about there being two distinct brains (The analytical/logical/mathematical Left Brain (who’s language is words), and the Creative, and spontaneous Right Brain (who’s language is images and pictures).

I use to plan my pictures, heck I still do, but not so much. The planned pictures always seem to have a weird dry and emotionless feel to it, while unplanned pictures always seem to be full of life. You can see in my website HentaiSketch.com that the most popular ones aren’t planned. All my coloured works are definitely spontaneous.

But isn’t that what art is? Art is the ability to express your creativity into whatever form that you may choose. Either that be though the crafting works to designing an object to drawing out your feelings on to your piece of paper.

However, my way of creating my art is a little different to most. =D I draw hentai. And hentai is fun to draw =D. Most anime drawers I’ve seen always started from the head (or atleast created a quick sketch of the head) before they go down to the body and clothing. That makes sense, since the anime face is one of the important if not the most important aspects of Anime.

But… I start from the body =D The body figure is great, especially the female figure =). Those curves and rounds are so interesting to draw.

I guess they are a bit harder to draw than a muscly male figure, drawing guys, you have a larger room for error because you can make the muscles as blocky as you like.

However for the females… you need to make their skin look supple, soft, smooth and almost touchable… that is the feeling I’m aiming for. Though I’m not quite there yet.

So I start with the body, I get most of the figure down before I even start on the head.

But it all depends. Depends on my whim at the time. If I feel like doing this, I do this. If I wonder what happens if I draw that line I draw that line, and if it doesn’t turn out nice, I just simply ignore it or rub it out. Second guessing and doubting yourself can be quite disastrous to your pictures.

I don’t expect people here to draw that much, heck you’re probably all just hentai hungry zombies (hah).

I’m still curious of peoples opinions or comments though. They are welcome.
